Server upgrade

23 December 1999:
The email server and web server have been upgraded today. The new server does not have the Year 2000 bug. The new server has more RAM, more disk space and a more powerful CPU than the one being replaced. It will provide better, faster service for customers. Unfortunately the changeover was not as smooth as anticipated, with the POP server program failing for a couple of hours, but it should be fully working now.

V.90 now supported

11 March 1999:
The Cisco AS5200 access server has been upgraded with V.90 modem capabilities. This means that people with V.90 capable modems will see faster and more reliable connections than before. V.90 has been ratified by the ITU and is the most up to date modem modulation standard. The earlier 56k modem standard, k56flex, has been available for many months on BOPIS, and k56flex compatibility is still available.
